Brilliant service from Barry today. He replaced our old door lock which had broken. He arrived within a couple of hours of calling him and had it all fixed within an hour. I couldn't recommend him highly enough. A lovely person, very responsive, efficient and left everything looking neat and tidy. I will definitely be using Barry again the next time we have any lock issues.

Mentioned he didn't have immediate availability, so had to wait a week. Fine, not a problem. He identified a broken cylinder, which he left in place. I had an outer door that had been fitted with internal handles by the previous owners. The locksmith told me they were the wrong handles for the door, switched them out for chunkier internal door handles and said e wouldn't be able to fix my German lock because it was specialist and needed to be ordered from abroad, that it would take a few weeks, and he would be in touch in a few weeks. He charged me £120 for the privilege, took my handles with him, and was never heard from again.
My lock is a Swedish-made, Danish brand. As someone advertising as a multi lock specialist, he failed on all aspects and was basically a con merchant in my case. He essentially only tightened handles and stole my original product. Also left the broken piece in place, which to be fair, was the only thing saving the whole lock from failing.
Points for politeness.
My experience is going back a couple of years now and the initial conversations still remain on my phone. Same phone number, same company. Opted for this company because they were local.
Response from the owner:This is an edit to my previous response, I note that you have edited your review saying that the work was carried out some years ago however you still have the information on your phone, I do have to question what would prompt somebody to leave a negative review some years after the work was carried out but yet remember it in such detail. I think we’ll just leave it there anyone reading this can clearly see that this is either the wrong company or a malicious review.
Good afternoon. I think you may possibly have the wrong company, I have absolutely no record of carrying out any work for you at all, if you’d like to message me privately with the details perhaps we can clear this issue up however I have no record of doing any work for you.
I should also point out that I have never kept any customer waiting a week for anything, I also would not have to wait to order parts from abroad as I have a range of suppliers which deal with all types of Locks including Scandinavian Locks. As I say I think you may possibly have the wrong company if you read my other reviews you will see that yours is the only one with any negativity. Fantastic locksmith, very polite and diagnosed the issue and did a repair to the lock on my UPVC door same day. No waiting and no hidden costs and a fair price. So nice to find a reliable and super efficient locksmith, I will definitely use again and would highly recommend this company.

We had an issue with our lock and could not access the house. We called out KLS locks and they came out and sorted the issue. He was polite, professional and clearly explained everything he was doing and why. I would recommend this trader.

I found KLS Locks on the Bromley Trading Standards website.
Barry responded promptly to my call and after assessing the problem he replaced the lock on my front door the same day at the agreed price. Barry was both friendly and professional at all times, when asking questions he did so without being patronising.
I would definitely recommend KLS Locks to others and will be adding Barry to my list of "people to use again".

Excellent service! Barry was really friendly & helpful throughout. Totally put my mind at ease by attending property quickly and liaising with neighbour (as I'm 70 miles away) after untrustworthy tenant vacated without returning all keys. As far as I know, price was very good too. Would recommend 100% Thanks Barry! 🙂

Absolutely perfect service, very professional, works completed to a high standard and very reliable.

We had a lock replaced by a different locksmith that failed on us unexpectedly. Barry came out at short notice in the evening and fixed it for us without any fuss. Furthermore, he communicated with the original locksmith for us. Barry is an honest and very decent guy. Would highly recommend.

Barry phoned, assessed the job over the phone by asking specific questions. Arrived 15 minutes later, with the correct replacement parts. Changed the lock, re-aligned the door and even sorted the back door for me. Job completed in less than an hour.

After my Mum had a fall , I couldn’t get into her house. It was a Saturday and he was out with his daughter, but came quickly and got me in. He was so kind, got Mum into a chair, then fixed a more suitable lick on the door. I heartily recommend his company for prompt , expert and kind service, thank you so much.

Barry showed up within one hour, and sorted our issue in no time. He even put away the rubbish in his bag, small detail that I find thoughtful. Would highly recommend him, he unlocked the door with the broken latch without damaging the door at all, he clearly knows what he is doing!
